In this half-day workshop, you’ll discover the Improvement Kata: a practice pattern for goal-directed continuous improvement that works at the team, department, and organization levels. By complementing retrospectives with the Improvement Kata, you can to coordinate improvements across multiple teams, achieve ambitious goals incrementally, build measurement into every improvement, and sustain motivation over time.
This workshop is for anyone who seeks to make things better by improving processes and practices — agile or otherwise. You’ll learn to how to set quarterly goals around capabilities that bring benefit to your business and how to approach those quarterly goals in measurable monthly increments. Through an immersive simulation, you’ll practice running rapid experiments to achieve your goals. And you’ll learn how to recognize and celebrate learning as improvement occurs.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a fresh perspective on continuous improvement along with the skills and knowledge required to begin applying the Improvement Kata in your own organization.
