PNSQC 2016 Call for Presentations
Sow the Seeds of Software Quality
How do you cultivate great software? How do you grow a great team? What’s your secret for producing a great product?
The Pacific NW Software Quality Conference wants you to come and share your knowledge and experience on October 17-19, 2016, in Portland, Oregon.
It’s our 34th year, and we want to learn how you:
- Get amazing results from a small and scrappy team
- Balance quality, cost and schedule in a startup environment
- Build on your successes to continually optimize delivery
- Enable development productivity with targeted tools
- Manage risk across a large, worldwide organization
- Apply agile practices to deliver value to the customer
Cultivating quality requires hard work from software developers, quality assurance engineers, testers, and project managers. Everyone contributes to producing quality. Whatever your focus, be a speaker and share your knowledge with your peers at the PNSQC.
Whether you’re just starting your software career or are a seasoned professional, you’ll find yourself among like minded practitioners, looking for ways to make better software, meet market demands, and drive business success.
Come and tell us about:
- Which innovations for delivering quality software you have adopted
- What tools have made the most difference in your development process
- How automation has affected your approach to testing
- How continuous improvement has changed your work
- Which technologies have had the greatest impact on quality
- What methods have produced the best results for preventing and detecting problems
Speakers attend the conference for free, present to an audience of their peers, and have their technical paper or presentation published in our conference proceedings.

Take Advantage of This Opportunity – Share Quality You Have Cultivated With Others!
There are 3 ways you can get your ideas across at the conference:
- Write a Technical Paper. There’s no required Technical Paper length, though they do typically run 10-12 pages. You will work with PNSQC reviewers to make your paper great, and you will present your paper in 45-minute session at the conference.
- Create a Presentation Only. Like a Technical Paper, you will work with PNSQC reviewers to create a great presentation and deliver it at the conference. You won’t have to write a corresponding Technical Paper and your presentation will be published in the conference proceedings.
- Deliver a Poster Paper. Poster Papers are kind of like science fair exhibits. You can have a tabletop or at easel to display your materials, and you’ll engage face to face with conference attendees to discuss your ideas during the evening social event.
Submitting your idea for any of these only takes a few paragraphs, and if your idea is accepted you’ll receive free admission to the 2-day conference. Interested?
